When booking accommodation with Wandering Trout Pty Ltd, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. 

EXPECTATION of QUIET ENJOYMENT 

TAPHOUSE 

WANDERING TROUT TAPHOUSE is a social venue owned & operated by a regional BREWERY.  

Accommodation is located above the TAPHOUSE.  

The TAPHOUSE is a functioning BAR & EATERY that is licensed until MIDNIGHT & usually comes with the sounds of people eating, drinking & enjoying each other’s company until a reasonable hour no later than MIDNIGHT. 

Regular FOODIES & MUSIC events are held in the TAPHOUSE. Noise levels can be expected to be more FESTIVE for these events. All guests will be given 4 weeks’ notice if they have booked their stay on the day of a SPECIAL EVENT. 

If you wish not to participate in a special event, it is your responsibility to CANCEL your booking in accordance with our CANCELLATION POLICY. 

All guests will show due respect for other guests by keeping noise levels to a minimum after MIDNIGHT. 

CINEMA ROOM 

All books, games, DVDs, BlueRays, furnishings, decorations & appliances are the property of WANDERING TROUT Pty Ltd and must remain within the CINEMA ROOM & undamaged.  

We encourage guests to socialise and enjoy chatting, playing games or watching movies. Movie choice is either by mutual agreement or the age-old ‘FIRST IN BEST DRESSED’. We’re not children. Play nicely! 

Appliances are provided for your enjoyment. We provide NO FRE TO AIR TV nor are any streaming services provided. You may pair to our appliances to STREAM FROM YOUR OWN ACCOUNT. 

CLOSING TIME for CINEMA ROOM is midnight unless you have agreement on a later ‘closing time’ from all other guests onsite. 

BREAKFAST ROOM 

Breakfast is provided as a courtesy & will be set out for each guest each day of their stay. This is a light meal intended to get your day started & not to fill you up. If you want a more substantial breakfast, we encourage you to support one of the many local cafes either in Mole Creek, Deloraine or Sheffield. 

We are a small team & housekeeping begins at 10am. All guests are required to tidy their own dishes so other guests can also have a neat & tidy area to enjoy breakfast. 

We do not have any area for you to prepare your own meals or to store your own travel provisions. Lunch & Dinner are available in the TAPHOUSE.  

There is no rubbish service in Mole Creek. Additional cleaning charges apply to excess rubbish left behind beyond what is supplied by or purchased at WANDERING TROUT. 

 

BOOKINGS 

All accommodation and pre-ordered extras must be paid for in full at the time of reservation by provision of credit card details. 

A booking confirmation email must be obtained. If a booking confirmation email is not obtained, the booking is not confirmed. It is up to the guest to contact Wandering Trout if they are yet to receive a conformation email within 48hrs of making their reservation. 

By providing credit card details, guests warrant they have the authority to use the credit card and they authorise Wandering Trout to charge the cost of their booking(s) and pre-ordered extras to that credit card. 

The liability of Wandering Trout arising from any cancellations of accommodation, or a third-party operator, is limited to the amount paid for the cancelled booking. 

CANCELATION POLICY 

Wandering Trout is a small boutique property, and as such, cancelations affect us greatly. We understand that the unexpected happens, so we recommend taking out Travel Insurance as we have strict cancellation policies. We respectfully request that you do not ask for refunds outside of our policy as refusal is unpleasant for all. 

Payments will be charged on, or soon after the due dates. Details will show on your bank statement as”...” and no additional notification will be sent in this regard. Online reservations are automated – your confirmation outlines the charges taken and no additional invoices will be issued. If you require an invoice, please email or call Wandering Trout. 

POLICIES FOR ‘STANDARD’ RATES 

Payment in full is charged immediately to confirm your reservation. 30% of this is the non-refundable Booking Fee. 
70% is refundable for cancellations made prior to midnight 5 days prior to Check-in date. 
Cancellation after 5 days prior to Check-in date will incur 100% forfeiture. 

No refund will be granted where a booking is cancelled for a stay(s) between 1st December and 31st March inclusive or for part of the booking which falls between these dates. 

No refund will be granted in the event a guest does not arrive for their booking or cancels on the date of their booking and the credit card associated with that booking will also be charged the balance of the booking. 

POLICY FOR ‘SPECIAL’ PROMOTION RATES 

These bookings cannot be cancelled. Full payment is made at the time of reservation. 
Any cancellation incurs 100% forfeiture. No refunds apply. 

ACCOMMODATION ENHANCEMENTS 

Enhancements that are preselected and booked are subject to the same reservation booking policy terms and conditions. 

In accepting a reservation, you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions. 

AMENDMENT REQUESTS 

Wandering Trout is small and intimate, with limited sleeping accommodations. It does not have the flexibility of larger establishments, and changes to reservation dates are not usually possible. 

For amendments made more than 1 month before Check-in, Bookings may be rescheduled depending on circumstance and by special arrangement with management, and subject to availability, to be utilised within a 6-month period with payments used as credit. Rates will be recalculated at time of rebooking 

No modifications can be made within 1 month of the check-in date. 

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY 

Wandering Trout caters to a maximum of two (2) adults per room. All rates are based on two (2) adults per room. Wandering Trout caters for guests 16 years of age and over only. All minors must be under direct parental supervision at all times & must abide by all age restricted areas outlined by management. 

By providing credit card details - you warrant that you have the authority to use said credit card and you authorise Wandering Trout to charge the cost of your booking to the credit card. If the booking for accommodation is made through a third party, the terms and conditions of that third party also apply. 

CREDITCARD SURCHARGES 

Credit Card surcharges apply: American Express 2.5% 

SMOKING 

Wandering Trout has a strict non-smoking policy for inside both your room and accommodation and bar area. Smoke taint will incur a penalty cleaning charge minimum of two-night rate. 

DAMAGE 

Any damage done to Wandering Trout property will incur a minimum charge of two-night rate. 

SECURITY & CONSUMER DATA PRIVACY POLICY 

When purchasing from Wandering Trout, card details are transmitted through a secure server using Direct Payment Services. Wandering Trout is dedicated to keeping your details private. Any information we collect in relation to you is kept secure. We do not pass on, sell or swap any of your personal details with anyone. We use this information to identify your orders and personalise your experience with us. 

Your personal information is only collected with your consent during the course of providing you with certain goods or services which you request. Examples of personal information may include your name, address, contact details, credit card details, government issued photo identification. 

CAR HIRE 

Hiring a car really adds to your freedom, fun and flexibility when exploring Tasmania. 
As touring the state by car is a popular choice with holidaymakers, we do recommend booking early so that you get your ideal vehicle. This is especially important during the busier holiday periods.
